WASHINGTON: Two U.S citizens were arrested Thursday at Arizona’s Port of Nogales. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers were checking a 20-year-old Nogales, Arizona man’s vehicle, when a CBP canine alerted officers to the roof. They found nearly 26 pounds of cocaine.
On Friday, a 20-year-old Sahuarita man was caught with 21 pounds of meth in the rear quarter panels of his vehicle. Both suspects were arrested for narcotics smuggling and turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations. CBP officers also seized the vehicles and drugs.
