ISLAMABAD: NAB has challenged the Islamabad High Court’s decision to suspend the Sharif family’s prison sentences awarded in the Avenfield reference. In its appeal filed to the Supreme Court, the bureau says the high court doesn’t have the jurisdiction to make such a decision under Article 199 of the Constitution. RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized 2,608.595 kilogram of narcotics valuing Rs 2.144 billion internationally, arrested 17 culprits including two women involved in drug smuggling and impounded nine vehicles conducting 16 counter-narcotics strikes throughout the country.
