ISLAMABAD: The Government has made harder for consumers to buy vehicles due to imposition of 10 percent extra duty on imported vehicles, market experts said.
Market experts told to Customs Today that government has imposed 10 percent duty on imported vehicles on the demand of some powerful industrialists.
Experts further told that this decision has made to fulfill the need of auto mafias. Experts said that the cabinet committee has not decided auto policy yet because the policy emphasises to promote new investors instead of providing facilities to the current auto manufacturers.
According to ECC Summery the imported used vehicles price will increase to Rs 48 thousand to Rs 2,000,00. 800 cc cars price will increase to Rs 48 thousand, 1000cc price will increase to Rs 60,000, 1300cc cars price will increase to 1,20,000, while 1600cc cars price will increase to 2,000,00 and 1800 cc price will increased to 2,540,00.
