SOFIA: Nikolay Iliev Popov is the new Deputy Director of the Bulgarian National Customs Agency (NCA), the press office of the Bulgarian Ministry of Finance announced. He will be in-charge of the Customs Intelligence and Investigations unit.
Nikolay Iliev Popov is a long-year officer with the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior Affairs, head of the Sofia-based units for fight against the organised crime. Popov has experience in the resistance and prevention of crimes connected to human trafficking, smuggling of excise goods and drug substances, and others. He speaks English, Italian and Russian, and commands Spanish, Polish and Serbo-Croatian.
