BRASILA: Brazil will propose tax discounts for electric cars in order to stimulate sales, the industry ministry (MDIC) stated. The initiative is part of the new public policy for the sector, dubbed Rota 2030, the format of which is being finalized by the MDIC.

First announced at the beginning of 2017, Rota 2030 is intended to achieve energy efficiency, improve vehicle safety and foster investments in research and development.
