SWITZERLAND: The iconic Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing, widely regarded as the world’s first true super car, is often seen at motor shows and car museums. It is a very big deal to see one on the road, especially one that is not silver!
This magnificent blue Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing was spotted recently somewhere in Switzerland. This guy, though, likes to drive around in the car and enjoy every one of the 210 horsepower its engine offers.
You have probably heard the story of the Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing a thousand time, but just to recap the important bits, the designers put the hinges for the doors on the roof simply because the car’s tubular chassis made it impossible to do that any other way. So the legend of the Gullwing was born out of necessity!
