PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Customs, Bacha Khan International Airport (BKIAP), collected Rs4.40million All Duty and Taxes during the 1st to 15th of April Financial Year 2016-17.
According to details told by Fazle Samad, Additional Deputy Collector Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar, that during above said period, the BKIAP collected Rs1.40million Customs Duty whereas it collected Rs0.19million miscellaneous surcharges. The Peshawar customs airport staff collected Rs0.19million Redemption Duty during initial 15 days of April FY16-17.
The BKIAP collected Rs1.57million Sales Tax whereas it collected Rs0.14 ST on imports and Samad said the BKIAP collected Rs1.08million Additional Income Tax. The BKIAP collected Rs21.56million All Duty Taxes and Surcharges during the month of March FY2016-17. The Air Freight Unit of the BKIAP generated Rs5.83million Customs Duty whereas the BKI airport earned Rs2.13million miscellaneous taxes and surcharges during the month of March FY16-17.
During March FY16-17, the AFU Peshawar collected Rs0.2million Redemption Duty on imports whereas the AFU collected Rs7.0million Sales Tax. During March FY2016-17, the AFU Peshawar received Rs0.81million Sales Tax on Imports while the AFU collected Rs5.52million Additional Income Tax during above said period.
He said the Chief Collector North visited the MCC Peshawar during the last week of March 2017 and advised the MCC Peshawar customs staff to muster their efforts to meet the upcoming revenue target (fourth quarter) of current Financial Year 2016-17.
