PESHAWAR: The Customs Staff of the Bacha Khan International Airport (BKIA) Peshawar collected Rs5.91million of all duties and taxes from 1st to 15th of September Financial Year (FY) 2017-18.
According to details explained by sources of the BKIA Peshawar that, during above said period, the said customs station received Rs1.53million of Customs Duty (CD) whereas it did Rs0.25million as miscellaneous duties and taxes.
The sources told CT that the BKIA Peshawar generated Rs0.08million of Redemption Duty on Imports while it did Rs2.32million as Sales Tax (ST). The BKIA earned Rs0.28million of ST VM on Imports and did Rs1.45million as Additional Income Tax during the 1st to 15th of September FY17-18.
The BKIA earned Rs171.20million of all duties and taxes during FY2016-17 while it did Rs46.58million as CD whereas it got Rs19.07million of miscellaneous taxes and the BKIA Peshawar received Rs2.15million of RD on Imports during FY16-17.
The sources told CT that, during FY16-17, the BKIA generated Rs52.98million of ST while it did Rs5.98million as ST on Imports and the BKIA collected Rs44.44million of AIT.
