KARACHI: Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Pakistan soon as the dialogues between the two neighbouring countries about the visit are underway.
Consul General of Peoples Republic of China, Ma Yaou, has said this during a meeting with a delegation of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) at Consulate General of Peoples Republic of China in Karachi.
Ma Yaou said that that his country had always given priority to Pakistan in its foreign policy and during the president’s visit various development projects in Pakistan’s energy sector, economic corridor and infrastructure development involving billions of dollars of investment would be undertaken as planned earlier.
KCCI President Iftikhar Ahmed Vohra, speaking on the occasion, warmly welcomed Chinese Consul General’s assurance about President Xi Jinping’s visit to Pakistan which would surely pave way in furthering relations between the two countries.
He appreciated the Chinese Consulate’s support and cooperation being extended to Karachi Chamber, and said that the Chamber had remained vibrant in strengthening trade ties and exploring new bilateral trade prospects with China. He also sought Chinese help in addressing the economic challenges, energy crisis, more investment, technology transfer and infrastructural development.
Senior KCCI Vice President Mohammad Ibrahim Kasumbi, Vice President Agha Shahab Ahmed Khan, Vice Consul General of China, Mu Yongpeng were also present there.
