LONDON: Bentley has introduced its new Bentayga SUV’s insides, ahead of a late 2015 debut. Revealed in a series of tightly cropped close-ups (see video above), viewers are shown the new SUV’s drive controls, instrument cluster, centre console and a short view of the dash design.
The image follows the release last year of an image that shows the Bentayga’s face shrowded in sand and dust, revealing a clear look at its broad grille and LED-ringed headlights.
A more recent teaser revealed the manta-like flying ‘B’ vent that will be positioned behind the new SUV’s front wheels.
Little else has been revealed at this stage, although recent spy photos offer a clear look at the new models overall shape and general proportions.
The Bentayga will be built in England on the same platform that underpins the new Audi Q7, derived from the Volkswagen Group’s MLB architecture that will also be shared with the next-gen Porsche Cayenne and VW Touareg.
The SUV is expected to launch with the 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 already featured in the Continental and Flying Spur, although the company’s big 6.0 litre W12 is also likely to appear, along with a plug-in hybrid option.
When the Bentayga is revealed later this year, it will join the Mulsanne, the Flying Spur, the Continental range and the Grand Convertible in the growing Bentley range.
Expect more info to trickle out as Bentley’s SUV draws closer to its late 2015 launch date.
