BRUSSELS: Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Healthcare and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 lost 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were KBC (BR:KBC), which rose 0.38% or 0.250 points to trade at 66.350 at the close. Meanwhile, Telenet Group (BR:TNET) added 0.15% or 0.09 points to end at 60.10 and ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) was up 0.13% or 0.020 points to 14.950 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Etablissementen Fr Colruyt NV (BR:COLR), which fell 3.15% or 1.56 points to trade at 48.15 at the close. Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) declined 2.70% or 2.050 points to end at 73.990 and Cofinimmo-Sicafi (BR:COFB) was down 1.14% or 1.25 points to 108.85.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 55 to 46 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Telenet Group (BR:TNET) rose to all time highs; gaining 0.15% or 0.09 to 60.10.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.16% or 2.03 to $1282.23 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.99% or 0.47 to hit $47.19 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.24% or 0.62 to trade at $49.33 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.26% to 1.1251, while EUR/GBP fell 0.60% to 0.8707.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 96.78.
