JAKARTA: Synergy and cooperation is needed to make the government’s Productive Migrant Villages (Desmigratif) program successful. Therefore, Bank Indonesia (BI) is ready to support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from the Desmigratif program through BI’s payment and development system the central bank provides. Sugeng, Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI), conveyed his support for for the Desmigratif program through cashless society, and the expansion of financial access and development of MSME.
Meanwhile, Maruli Hasoloan, Director General of Manpower Placement, Development, and Job Opportunity Extension and the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration, said the Ministry conducted a pilot project to implement the Desmigratif program in two areas last year. “We have been conducting Desmigratif program trials in Wonosobo, Central Java, and Indramayu, West Java. We expect to implement this program in 400 villages throughout Indonesia over the next three years,” he said, as quoted by Antara on Tuesday (9/12/2017).
