ISLAMABAD: The Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR) heard couple of important tax matters during recent week and issued directives to bring concluding arguments in cases filed by M/s Aftab Traders and M/s Shalimar Recording and Broadcasting Company. ATIR Account Member Dr Ghulam Mujtaba Bhatti heard the cases.
M/s Aftab Traders had contested show cause notices issued by the field offices of the Federal Board of Revenue.
According to details, M/s Aftab Traders had challenged recovery notice issued to it in head of outstanding income tax by the Regional Tax Office, Islamabad.
M/s Aftab Traders had submitted the department had issued the demand for the tax year 2012 in head of income tax under provisions of Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.
Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), officers of RTO including commissioner Inland Revenue, commissioner Inland Revenue (Appeals).
M/s Aftab Traders prayed that the assessment order issued by the RTO officer was illegal, unlawful and without legal grounds.
M/s Shalimar Recording and Broadcasting Company had contested show cause notices issued by the field offices of Federal Board of Revenue.
