ISLAMABAD: Amid growing thin presence of staffers, Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue and Federal Service Tribunal adjourned hearing of number of cases.
FST benches dated in office hearing of ‘implementation’ and ‘increment’ complaints filed by employees of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
Hearing of income and other tax references at ATIR was also adjourned for the same reasons. Officials from ATIR said that majority of employees working in ATIR were from other cities therefore some of them had availed their off-days.
FST bench comprising Members Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed dated in office hearing of cases filed by M Waheed, Anjum Rasheed, and others.
However, thin attendance of employees was observed as some of staffers had not reached office owing to Eid preparations or were setting to leave the city ahead of Eidul Azha.
Earlier in the week, Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed adjourned hearing of cases filed by Waseem Iqbal, Anjum Waheed, Said Hussain Abbasi and Abdul Sattar.
Waseem Iqbal, Anjum Waheed, and Said Hussain Abbasi had filed complaints on ‘implementation’ while Abdul Sattar had submitted a complaint about ‘withholding of three increments’.
Another appellant had filed complaint about implementation. Same bench heard the cases asking the tribunal to ensure implementation over its earlier announced decision which was not yet complied by the board authorities.
