ISLAMABAD: The Customs Appellate Tribunal (CAT) and Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR) are witnessing thin presence of staffers as Eidul Azha is approaching fast.
A visit to the offices of tribunals located in the federal capital revealed that lesser number of employees came to the office as compare to previous days.
According to officials, around 50 percent staffers of CAT were not present in the office. Similarly, 20-30 percent staff of ATIR was absent.
Few officers present in the offices told Customs Today that reasonable number of staffer had left for their homes to celebrate Eid with their families.
At the same time, they also mentioned that continuous drizzling in twin cities since last night also interrupted the presence of staffers in the tribunals. Meanwhile, the Federal Service Tribunal (FST) was also attended by lesser number of staffers on Tuesday.
