KARACHI: The officials concerned of MCC-Appraisement-West, while following the directives of Collector Muhammad Saleem, have decided to tighten the security of the collectorate with a view to restrict the admissions of unauthorised persons in the appraising hall.
According to details, the Collectorate has ordered all the customs officials concerned and staff members to restrict the admission of unauthorised persons on the premises of collectorate, particularly in the jurisdiction of the appraising hall.
The authorities have deployed a guard just on the main entrance of the appraising hall and he allows the customs agents to enter the premises of the appraising hall after checking their smart cards.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Collector-MCC Appraisement-West Muhammad Saleem has also installed a monitoring system in his office through which he keeps check on the assessment process and the working of the appraising officials.
It may be mentioned here that the Collector-MCC Appraisement-East Manzoor Hussain Memon has already issued strict directives to the authorities concerned of the Collectorate to ensure restriction of un-authorized persons in the premises of Collectorate.
It may also be mentioned here that the authorities concerned of MCC-Preventive thorough an office order has recently imposed ban on admission of unauthorized person specially ‘lapoos’ in the premises of the Collectorate.
The said steps taken by the authorities concerned of the different Collectorates showing some serious concerns in admission of unauthorized persons in the premises of the Collectorates. However; the authorities concerned of MCC-Port Muhammad Bin Qasim have yet to take any step in this regard.
