KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement-West has initiated recovery of one-percent surcharge in light of SRO 610(1)/2015 on the consignments imported by oil well drilling companies.
Sources told Customs Today that the Appraisement-West launched a recovery drive against those consignments which were imported by oil well drilling companies and subsequently released under the provision of SRO 678(1)/2004.
In the first stance, the Collectorate blocked the user NTN of several oil well drilling companies, which resulted into recovery of millions of rupees from members of companies on account of 1 percent surcharge. And, the remaining companies are also approaching to the Appraisement-West.
