KARACHI: Customs Appraisement East generated Rs13 billion more revenue than the assigned target of the second month of new fiscal year 2017-18.
Pakistan Customs’ revenue collection data shows that the Appraisement East overall collected Rs37.276 billion duties and taxes during August. The Collectorate collected Rs13.432 billion customs duty, Rs17.394 billion sales tax, Rs6.164 billion income tax and Rs256 million federal excise duty.
The Appraisement East overall generated more than Rs77.61 billion revenue in the first two months (July-August) of ongoing fiscal year. It collected Rs28.421 billion customs duty, Rs35.313 billion sales tax, Rs13.343 billion income tax and Rs530 million as federal excise duty during the corresponding months of FY2017-18.
