PESHAWAR: The Anti-Narcotics Forces (ANF) and Khasadar have recovered 27 kg hashish from a car at Bagyari check post of tehsil Jamrud, Khyber Agency.
Sources told Customs Today that during the routine checking, the Anti-Narcotics Force and Khasadar force intercepted a Peshawar bound car bearing registration No.P-6859 for checking and found 27 kg fine quality hashish concealed in various cavities of the vehicle.
The smugglers said that narcotics had been brought from Mazar-e- Sharif, Afghanistan via Torkham border and were taking to Peshawar.
Two drug traffickers identified as Lal Badin and Taveel of Zakha Khel were detained and were put behind the bars for investigation.
It is necessary to note that smuggling of narcotics commodities from Afghanistan to Pakistan through Torkham border is on rise and tehsil Jamrod of Khyber Agency is leading rout through which narcotics is being smuggled to other parts of the country.
