GHAZNI: Afghan police has seized hundreds of kilograms of narcotics and nabbed a man from a land cruiser vehicle on the outskirts of Pul-i-Alam, the provincial capital here the other day.
Police chief Brig. Gen. Abdul Hakim Ishaqzai told Customs Today 500 kg of drugs were recovered from the vehicle in the Padkhwab Shana area.
One person had been arrested and was currently being interrogated in connection with the seizure, he said.
Ishaqzai said Logar was poppy-free province, but sometimes drug smugglers used routes passing through Logar to smuggle drugs to other provinces.
He said the drugs seized were destined for southern Ghazni province from the Azra district.
