FAISALABAD: The Collectorate of Customs Appraisement surpassed the revenue collection target assigned for July-December 2017-18 as it collected Rs7192.197million against a set target of Rs6724.93million. So Rs468million has remained surplus.
Sources told Customs Today that the Custom Appraisement was allocated Rs4864.35million revenue collection target of Sales Tax (ST) but it exceeded the target by 106.7 percent since it generated Rs5192.567million during the above said period.
Under the head of Customs Duty, the Appraisement received Rs1928.683million against the earmarked target of Rs1792.53million by achieving the target of 107.6 percent.
The Customs Appraisement got Rs70.851million as Income Tax against an assigned target of Rs67.86million that was obtained up to 104.4 percent while it collected Rs0.096million in the wake of Federal Excise Duty (FED) against a target of Rs0.19million.
