LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs, Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has issued arrest warrants for the directors of Abdullah Sugar Mills.
Sources told Customs Today that a case of Abdullah Sugar Mills is being heard in the court for many years but the directors are not willing to participate in investigations and to cooperate with Large Taxpayer Unit of Federal Board of Revenue. First Information Report (FIR) was also registered against them.
The counsel for the Federal Board of Revenue informed the Special Judge Customs that the accused persons are defaulters of federal excise duty, and they are not participating and cooperating with the investigation team willfully, so their arrest warrants should be issued .
After hearing the case, the Special Customs Judge issued arrest warrants for the accused persons. It is pertinent to mention here that accused persons are cousin of renowned political figures of the country.
