ISLAMABAD: The Customs Accompanied Baggage (AB) Section of the Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad earned Rs90000 extra Customs Duty against an assigned proportional revenue collection target during the first week of December Financial Year 2017-18.
According to details explained by Ali Asad, Assistant Collector AB, that the performance is satisfactory during the first week of December Financial Year (FY) 2017-18.
During the first week of current month, the AB earned Rs550000 against an allocated proportional revenue target of Rs450000 of Customs Duty (CD).
Ali Asad told CT that the AB has been earmarked a revenue collection target of Rs2.40million as CD for the month of December FY17-18.The AB received Rs420000 of revenue during the first week of corresponding December FY17-18.
The AB proved 22.96% of achievement during the first week under the head of CD against an assigned revenue target for the month of December FY17-18 while the AB showed 119% growth against as allocated proportional revenue target of CD for the first week of December.
Telling about the particulars of the month of November FY17-18, he said the AB was earmarked a revenue collection target of Rs2.00million as CD whereas it earned Rs2.528million.The AB received Rs1.77million of CD during the same period of corresponding FY16-17, Asad told.
He notified CT that, during November, the AB showed 126.40% revenue achievement against the allocated revenue collection target as CD for the month of November FY17-18. The Customs AB Section seized $40,000 during the month of November FY17-18.
Ali Asad is optimistic that the Customs Collectorate Islamabad AB will not only achieve its assigned revenue collection target under the head of CD during 2nd Quarter (October to December) but will also surpass the earmarked revenue target of CD for said period.
