KUWAIT CITY: Drug Control General Department Officers foiled an attempt by a Syrian expatriate to smuggle 650000 narcotic pills plus 21kg of hashish via the land borders of a neighboring country, statement from the Security Information Department of Interior Ministry.
A Bedoun woman was also arrested in connection with the case, while her male compatriot and partner in crime is still at large, statement added. Apparently, anti-narcotics men received a tip-off about the smuggling activities of the Syrian expatriate and a team was formed to follow-up the information.
Legal measures were taken to bring the suspect down after a team of detectives confirmed the report.
