COPENHAGEN: 3 Denmark published figures for its operations in 2016, which differ from those published earlier this week by Hutchison, which owns 60 percent of Tre Danmark. Tre said its figures include its sub-brands, Oister and Zenji.
Full-year revenue rose by 12 percent to DKK 3.2 billion, said the company. EBIT climbed by 11 percent year on year to DKK 430 million and pre-tax profit grew by 16 percent to DKK 402 million.
Tre said the Danish mobile market was extremely competitive last year, yet it still ended it with 47,000 new customers at 1.2 million. Network investment reached DKK 189 million.
CEO Morten Christiansen said the operator managed to rein in its costs to a reasonable level. In 2017, the company plans to increase its market share. It has already factored in the changes to EU roaming price regulations when devising its 3LikeHome service, and so does not expect to be hit particularly hard.
