24-inch gas pipeline blown up in Sui

QUETTA: Some miscreants have blown up a 24-inch gas pipeline in Sui area of Dera Bugti district and a portion of the Quetta-Sibi rail track in Bolan on Tuesday.

According to Levies officials, an improvised explosive device (IED) was detonated near the pipeline in Sui. “Gas supply to the purification plant was suspended after unknown men blew up a portion of a 24-inch diameter pipeline in Doli area of Sui,” the officials said.

In another incident, unknown men blew up a portion of the Quetta-Sibi railway track in Bolan area. A two-foot portion of the track was ripped apart as a result of the explosion, suspending railway traffic to and from Quetta for some time.
