EDINBURGH: A very rare Chevrolet Corvette SR-2 from 1956 is currently for sale at the whopping cost of 6.885M USD.
This racing machine is offered by Corvette Mike and will be displayed at Scottsdale Sport & Classic Autocars from January 12 to 14.
The Corvette SR-2 is the first purpose-built Corvette racer and its name stands for Sebring Racer or Special Racer. There were only three built and this is number 1.
It is powered by a fuel injected engine with 331 HP (243 kW) that is mated to a 4-speed transmission. It also has Sebring Corvette chassis, brakes and suspension and a distinctive design with sky blue paint job.
